Meet Our Family Law Attorneys in Indianapolis

Jaimie Cairns

Jaimie L. (Zibrowski) Cairns is an Indianapolis family law attorney, certified domestic relations mediator, and founding partner of the Indianapolis law firm of Cairns & Rabiola, LLP, where she practices exclusively in the area of divorce and family law. Having practiced exclusively in the area of family law her entire legal career, Jaimie has extensive experience with most issues that arise in divorce and paternity cases which allows her to give valueable advice to family law clients.

Jaimie received her Juris Doctorate with Honors from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. and a Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude from Indiana State University. Jaimie enjoys volunteering in local organizaitons, including the Children's Bureau, Girls, Inc., and Kids Voice. In 2012, due to her volunteer work and community involvement, Jaimie was selected for the Indianapolis Bar Association's Bar Leader Series Class X.

In 2015 and 2016, Jaimie was nominated by her peers as an Indiana Rising Star in the Super Lawyer Magazine. This honor is only awarded to 2.5% of attorneys in the state.

She has extensive experience assisting clients with:

  • Asset and liability division in divorces
  • Contested custody cases
  • Cases involving jurisdictional issues under both the UCCJA and UIFSA
  • Cases involving alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration
  • Family law appeals, including several published opinions on novel issues in the family law arena.

​Prior to founding Cairns & Rabiola, Jaimie worked for a small family law firm in Carmel and a major Indianapolis law firm. Jaimie has lived in central Indiana for most of her life, growing up in the Indianapolis suburb of Brownsburg. She currently lives in Indianapolis with her husband, two children, and dog.

Tara Rabiola

Tara K.H. (Howard) Rabiola is an Indianapolis divorce attorney and founding partner of the Indianapolis law firm of Cairns & Rabiola, LLP. She practices exclusively in the area of family law and divorce.

Tara has experience in Indianapolis divorces, paternity cases, contested custody cases, and a variety of other family law cases. As a registered family law mediator, Tara has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since she received her law degree. She strives to provide clients with legal representation that is practical and personalized.

She received her Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. Her volunteer work includes volunteering as a Guardian ad Litem through Kids Voice, and volunteering at the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Ask a Lawyer. She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Association and belongs to the family law section of both associations.

Tara resides in Indianapolis with her husband and two sons.

Jane Glynn

Jane E. Q. Glynn is Of Counsel at Cairns & Rabiola, LLP and practices in the areas of family law, collaborative law, and estate and health/personal care planning. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem for children and adults.

As an experienced family law attorney, Jane assists individuals with a wide range of matters, including dissolution of marriage, paternity, custody and/or parenting time, post-dissolution modifications (including child support, education expenses, and emancipation), paternity, adoption, guardianship, third party custody, and grandparents’ rights. In addition, her practice includes assistance with wills, trusts, estates (probate), powers of attorney, and related estate planning.

Jane earned her undergraduate degree at Oberlin College and earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana, where she served as the Vice-President of Outreach for Legal Literacy and as a certified intern in the Elder Law Clinic, which is housed at Indiana Legal Services, Inc. in Bloomington.

Jane is admitted to practice before Indiana state courts. She was selected to join Indianapolis Bar Association’s Bar Leader Series Class XII, which prepares its participants to become leaders in both the legal arena and the community at large. Jane serves on the Indy Bar’s Solo/Small Firm Committee (serving as Chair of the Solo Practitioner/Small Firm Practice Section in 2014 and as Vice Chair in 2015) and belongs to the Family Law, Women and the Law, and Young Lawyers sections and divisions. Jane also is active in the Indiana State Bar Association, serving on its Children’s Rights Committee and belonging to the Elder Law, Probate, Trust, & Real Property (serving on the Probate Trust and Real Property Council), and Young Lawyers sections. Jane also belongs to the Central Indiana Association of Collaborative Professionals.

Jane enjoys serving her community as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem (GAL) through Kids’ Voice of Indiana. She also regularly participates in walk/run events for causes important to her loved ones, including Walk MS and Outrun the Sun. In her free time, Jane enjoys hiking with her pit bull (Miss Ruby Lucille Helen Wrigglebottom), spending time with her friends and family, listening to live music, singing, watching football, reading, and–most of all–laughing.

Our Staff

Ariel Kershaw – Legal Assistant

Ariel Kershaw joined Cairns & Rabiola, LLP in September 2013 as a Legal Assistant. She provides the attorneys in our Indianapolis family law firm with reliable assistance, and serves as a liaison between our clients and attorneys. Family law clients are often faced with highly emotional situations, and Ariel presents a calm, helpful, and supportive demeanor as she assists clients with their needs, both immediate and long-term.

In addition to her communication duties, Ariel is also relied upon by the attorneys for drafting necessary documents, scheduling appointments and court appearances, and keeping client files organized. Ariel also serves as the first point of contact for new clients who are interested in our services.

Ariel has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
