Does an extramarital affair have any impact on child custody in Indiana?

Generally speaking an affair is not relevant to a divorce proceeding at all, including regarding custody of a child. The only situation where this might not be the case is when the affair is affecting the children. If, for example, the spouse that had the affair has brought a new person into the lives of the children, and that has negatively affected the children, that can be used as a reason for the parent not to have custody or not to have as much parenting time. However, generally in most cases involving affairs, the affair is not brought up in court.
