Jaimie Cairns

Jaimie Cairns

From working at a large Indianapolis law firm to opening her own practice in 2013, Jaimie has exclusively represented family law clients for more than a decade. She has represented clients at all levels of Indiana trial courts, including successfully arguing in front of the Indiana Supreme Court. Jaimie enjoys being a family law attorney because she is passionate about finding creative solutions for difficult problems and helping people even when they are at their worst. Jaimie represents clients in all types of family law cases and also has an active mediation and parenting coordination practice. She grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, has spent most of her life as a proud Hoosier, and resides with her husband, two children, and dog in Fishers.

Kelsey Vance

Kelsey Vance

Having always had a passion for helping families and children, Kelsey practices exclusively in the area of family law. She has guided numerous families through complicated and emotional family law issues pertaining to dissolution, custody and support modifications, parenting time, grandparent visitation, name changes, relocation and adoption. Kelsey is also a Registered Domestic Relations Mediator and emphasizes resolving family conflict without the need for potentially costly and emotionally devastating litigation. Kelsey resides in Indianapolis with her husband and four children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, running, coaching and traveling.

Carey D. York

Carey D. York is an attorney with experience in all types of legal matters, but mainly in criminal defense. Prior to joining, Cairns Law, Carey has spent the last year as an attorney with Sorrell & Associates in Fortville, with a general practice centered in Hancock County. Before that, Carey spent nearly eleven years at the Marion County Public Defender Agency, more than half of that time as a supervising attorney. A veteran of over one hundred jury and bench trials, Carey has tried cases all over central Indiana.

Carey is a life-long resident of Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University, both bachelor’s and doctor of jurisprudence. He lives in Lawrence, with his wife and two children. He’s active in the Indianapolis Bar Association and a board member of the Oaklandon Little League. When not in court or the office, he’s probably spending time with his family, or devoting time to his hobbies (yelling about Indiana University football, the Chicago Cubs, or the Indiana Pacers, and grill and smoking meats).

Ariel Dallafior

Ariel Dallafior

PARALEGAL/OFFICE MANAGER

Ariel Dallafior joined Cairns Law, LLC in September 2013 as a Legal Assistant. She provides the attorneys in our Indianapolis family law firm with reliable assistance, and serves as a liaison between our clients and attorneys. Family law clients are often faced with highly emotional situations, and Ariel presents a calm, helpful, and supportive demeanor as she assists clients with their needs, both immediate and long-term.

In addition to her communication duties, Ariel is also relied upon by the attorneys for drafting necessary documents, scheduling appointments and court appearances, and keeping client files organized. Ariel also serves as the first point of contact for new clients who are interested in our services.

Ariel has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

RECEPTIONIST/LEGAL ASSISTANT

Erika Kershaw joined Cairns Law, LLC in September 2018 as a receptionist and Legal Assistant.

Erika is a full-time student at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis working toward a bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
